April 20 to April 27 Agenda
Please try to have these tasks accomplished by Monday, April 27 2020.  
You can do them in any order that you would like. The approximate time
to complete your assignments are listed to help you plan your week.



Language Arts / Socials / Science

This task is to be submitted into Google Classroom
Pick one of the topics below and write a 6 sentence
journal entry about it.

 Share the best gift (only one) you have received from anyone.
Use all your senses to tell us about it. What is it used for?
How did you get it? How excited were you?
Why is it special to you? Will you keep it forever?

Pick two activities you like to do right now,
use the sentence starter below:

          Now describe the activity making sure that you tell how
          it makes you feel, who does it with you, why do you like
          to do it and how often you do this activity.

Read about how the Inuit travel and hunt in
the winter and summer. Read this twice.

to have a capital at the beginning of your sentence
and a period at the end.

Time

Play one or more of the math fact online practice games.
Some may not work on iPad but all should work on a laptop
or computer. In Math Resources in Google Classroom are
more online games that your child can play.

Prodigy 
Work on your assignment in Prodigy
20 minutes
Gaphing
Look at the graph and write 2 things the graph tells you.

April 20 to 27 Math Work
This task is to be submitted into Google Classroom
This week in math you will be working on addition with regrouping.
This means that you will be adding larger numbers that need you
to carry or regroup or kick up a tens number to get the right answer.
This can be very tricky to learn and remember to do each time.
Please help your child with this and it is okay if they make a few
mistakes, it will take time and we will practice this a lot over the
next few weeks. If you need to watch the video more than once
and you can do it in two 20 minute sessions instead of one
40 minute session.

Please watch this video from Khan Academy which explains
how to add 35 and 27. Feel free to watch this video a few
times with your child before and after doing the math questions.
