Please try to have these tasks accomplished by Monday,
June 8, 2020. You can do them in any order that you would
like. The approximate time to complete your assignments are
listed to help you plan your week.

Grade 2 Writing 

Write about what you think Grade 2 was like. 
What was the best thing about your grade 2 teacher?
What was your favourite field trip in grade 2?
What is something you wish you learned about in grade 2?
What were some of your favourite activities in grade 2?

Reading 2 times in the week
Read Raz Kids, EPIC! (remember EPIC! only works
during school hours), an online book or a book you
have at home.

Arctic Life Reading 
Read the article about Arctic life and different
animals that live there.
Arctic Life Questions
Then complete the Arctic Life Questions about
the article that you read.

The Importance of a Story (part 2) 
Google Slide Memory project:
Complete the Google Slide called: 
Why Memory is Important? June 1 to 8 
This task is to be submitted into Google Classroom
There are 4 read aloud videos (30 mins) to watch and
one video on how to do an interview for a memory from
a family member (5 mins)
Then type your favourite memory from one family
member into the Google Slide. You can add in
pictures from the internet if you would like to.

This task is to be submitted into Google
Classroom
Work on the word problems in the Google
Slide, this way you can use the manipulatives
to move things around and figure out the
answers to the questions.

Math Work June 1 to 8
This task is to be submitted into Google Classroom
Please watch the video on how to subtract with
regrouping with your child and help them understand
how to subtract with regrouping. For some students
this concept is very tricky to understand so please be
patient and slow with your child if they are getting
frustrated with the concept. Also if your child is getting
frustrated, take a break and come back to this concept
later. Feel free to do the work on a separate piece of
paper and then type the answers into the box when
you are done.

Pretend to be a news reporter 
Ask someone to video record you as you are doing the interview.
  You can save your video clip on your computer or on phone.
If you want you can then share this with me in Google Classroom.

This task is to be submitted into Google Classroom
Work on this Google Slide activity and place the numbers in the 
correct places to make the three numbers add to the correct number.
Remember to move a number circle you have to see the mouse arrow
turn into four arrows. Remember if anything goes wrong with your
document just let me know in Google Classroom or at a Google Meet
and I can always fix it for you.

This task is to be submitted into Google Classroom

Polar Bear Google Slide Research May 11 to 25
This task is to be submitted into Google Classroom
Using the Google Slide fill in the information needed for the
last 3 slides only. You will find what you need to complete for
each slide in the speaker notes at the bottom of the Google Slide.
You also need to put in some pictures for slides as well. Remember
if anything goes wrong with your Google Slide just let your teacher
know in Google Classroom and they will fix it for you. Please only
do the last 3 slides. To complete this you have to go back into your
Polar Bear Google Slide Research and finish the last slides and
then turn it back in to me.

numbers to the correct places. Remember to move a box

your document just let me know in Google Classroom or at a
Google Meet and I can always fix it for you.
