April 27 to May 4 Agenda


Please try to have these tasks accomplished by Monday, April 27 2020.  
You can do them in any order that you would like. The approximate time
to complete your assignments are listed to help you plan your week.



Language Arts / Socials / Science
Time

Journal Entry April 27 to May 4
This task is to be submitted into Google Classroom
Pick one of the topics below and write a 6 sentence journal
entry about it.

If you could have any a pet what would you pick? What would be good
about having that animal as a pet and what would be horrible about
having that animal as a pet? Include 3 reasons to convince your
parents to get you this pet?

Or

Write a goodbye letter to winter. Tell winter all the reasons
you are going to miss it and what you are not going to miss about it.

Read Raz Kids, EPIC! (remember EPIC! only works during school hours),
an online book or a book you have at home.

Some may not work on iPad but all should work on a laptop or
computer. In Math Resources in Google Classroom are more
online games that your child can play.

Look at the graph and write 2 things the graph tells you.

This task is to be submitted into Google Classroom
This week in math you will continue to be working on addition
with regrouping. This means that you will be adding larger
numbers that need you to carry or regroup or kick up a tens
number to get the right answer. This can be very tricky
to learn and remember to do each time. Please help your
child with this and it is okay if they make a few mistakes, it will
take time and we will practice this a lot over the next few weeks.
If you need to watch the video more than once and you can do it in
two 20 minute sessions instead of one 40 minute session.

Please watch this video from Khan Academy which explains how
to add 35 and 27.
Feel free to watch this video a few times with your child before and
after doing the
math questions.
